And indeed We sent Nooh towards his people – he therefore said, “O my people! Worship Allah, you do not have any other God except Him; so do you not fear?” 23 The unbelieving assembly of his nation said: 'This is but a human like you, who desires to gain superiority over you. Had Allah willed, He could have sent down angels. We never heard of this among our ancient forefathers. 24 He is only a man in whom is madness wherefore await for him for a season. 25 He said: O my Lord! help me against their calling me a liar. 26 So We inspired him (saying): "Construct the ship under Our Eyes and under Our Revelation (guidance). Then, when Our Command comes, and the oven gushes forth water, take on board of each kind two (male and female), and your family, except those thereof against whom the Word has already gone forth. And address Me not in favour of those who have done wrong. Verily, they are to be drowned. 27 Then, when thou art seated in the Ark and those with thee, say, "Praise belongs to God, who has delivered us from the people of the evildoers." 28 And say, 'My Lord, let me land at a blessed landing place, and You are the best to accommodate [us].' " 29 Surely in that are signs, and surely We put to the test. 30 We brought another generation into existence after the people of Noah. 31 and We sent to them a Messenger from themselves, saying: 'Worship Allah, for you have no god except He. Will you not be cautious' 32
