The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TaSeenMeem. 1 These are the verses of a Book luminous. 2 It may be that you (O Muhammad SAW) are going to kill yourself with grief, that they do not become believers [in your Risalah (Messengership) and in your Message of Islamic Monotheism]. 3 If We will, We can send down on them a sign from heaven before which their necks will remain humbled. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Have they not seen the earth, that how many honourable pairs We have created in it? 7 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 8 Your Lord is the Majestic and the All-merciful. 9
