Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery): 'This is a marvelous thing! 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 This is a reminder and it sharpens the insight of every servant of God who turns to Him in repentance. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
