The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 and so am I: 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
