The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of the late morning, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
