The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the books are spread, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the close of night, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
