The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to those that deal in fraud,- 1 Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure, 2 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 3 Do they not think that they will be resurrected 4 On a mighty Day. 5 The day on which men shall stand before the Lord of the worlds? 6 No indeed; the Book of the libertines is in Sijjin; 7 And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is? 8 (It is) a marked Book. 9 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies, 10 Who give the lie to the day of judgment. 11 And none deny it except every sinful transgressor. 12 who, when listening to Our revelations, say, "These are only ancient legends". 13 Not at all – but rather their earnings have heaped rust upon their hearts. 14 Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day. 15 then they shall roast in Hell. 16 Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny." 17 Surely the ledger of the pious will be in 'Illiyun (heights above the heights). 18 and what will make you understand what the 'Illiyyin is? -- 19 A book inscribed, 20 witnessed by those brought nigh. 21 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous will indeed be in bliss: 22 resting on couches, looking around. 23 You shall see upon their faces the glow of bliss. 24 as they are given to drink of a wine sealed 25 The sealing of it is (with) musk; and for that let the aspirers aspire. 26 a wine whose mixture is Tasnim, 27 A fountain whereof will drink those brought nigh. 28 The sinners had been laughing at the believers. 29 and winked at one another as they passed them by. 30 When they returned to their people they returned jesting; 31 and when they saw them said: 'These are they who are astray' 32 Yet they were not sent to be their guardians. 33 But on this Day the believers will laugh at the unbelievers 34 On high couches, gazing. 35 Surely the disbelievers are rewarded as they did. 36
