The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
