The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
118 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
