It is God who sends down water from the sky for you to drink and produces plants as pasture for your cattle. 10 And thereby He brings forth crops and olives, palms and vines, and all the fruits. Surely, in this there is a sign for a nation who think. 11 He harnessed the day and night for you, as also the sun, the moon and the stars, by His command. In this are signs for men who understand. 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; 15 And waymarks; and by the star they are guided. 16 IS, THEN, HE who creates comparable to any [being] that cannot create? Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 17 And if you would count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 18 and God knows all that you keep secret as well as all that you bring into the open. 19 And those whom they call on besides Allah have not created anything while they are themselves created; 20 Dead are they, not alive; and they perceive not when they will be raised up. 21
