Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Harun, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 And let him share my task, 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 and remember you often. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 Then say to him a gentle saying; haply he may be admonished or he may fear. 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
