Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
