Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
