The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
