The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 roaring over the hearts 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
