Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
