He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 to a rich man, 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 and his consort and his children; 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 laughing and joyful, 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 Covered with the blackness (of shame): 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Practice memorizing the Quran (Hifz) with different levels from beginner to expert. Exercise pages hide some words depending on the level, also done in beautiful colors.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
