Do not the people who inherited the earth from the (earlier) inhabitants perceive that We could afflict them too for their sins if We pleased, and put seals on their hearts that they may not hear (the voice of truth)? 100 These are the dwellings – the affairs of which We relate to you (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); and indeed their (respective) Noble Messengers came to them with clear proofs; so they were not able to believe in what they had denied before; this is how Allah sets seals upon the hearts of disbelievers. 101 And We did not find for most of them any covenant; but indeed, We found most of them defiantly disobedient. 102 After them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs. But they willfully rejected them. Consider the end of the evil-doers. 103 And Musa said: O Firon! surely I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds: 104 [Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel." 105 He answered: 'If you have come with a sign, show it to us if you are of the truthful' 106 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 107 And he drew out his hand, and behold! it was white to all beholders! 108
