The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book 1 a guidance and good tidings for the believers 2 Those who establish regular prayers and give in regular charity, and also have (full) assurance of the hereafter. 3 As to those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have surely made their deeds fair-seeming to them, but they blindly wander on. 4 Those are they for whom is the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing. 6 (Remember) when Moosa said to his wife, “I have sighted a fire; I will soon bring its news to you, or bring for you an ember from it so that you may warm yourselves.” 7 But when Moses came to the fire, a call was sounded: "Blessed is He Who is in the fire and whatever is around it. Glory be to Allah, the Sustainer of all in the Universe. 8 Moses, I am God, the Majestic and All-wise. 9 Throw down your staff." When Moses saw his staff on the ground moving like a living creature, he stepped back and did not come forward again. The Lord said,"Moses, do not be afraid. Messengers do not become afraid in My presence". 10 "Except him who has done wrong and afterwards has changed evil for good, then surely, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 11 And enter your hand into the opening of your bosom, it shall come forth white without evil; among nine signs to Firon and his people, surely they are a transgressing people. 12 But when Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) came to them, clear to see, they said: "This is a manifest magic." 13 and they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, wrongfully and out of pride. Behold, how was the end of the workers of corruption! 14
