The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
