The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the Striking? 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 And the mountains shall be as loosened wool. 5 Then as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be heavy, 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 But as for one whose scales are light, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what shall teach thee what is the Pit? 10 (It is) a hot blazing Fire! 11
