And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
