۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 upon couches, set face to face, 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 They will go to one another asking each other questions. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 “Who used to tell me, ‘Do you believe it is true?’ 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
