Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
