Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
