Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
