The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
