Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
