We did not create this heaven and earth and all that lies between them in vain. That is the fancy of those who denied the Truth. So woe from the Fire to all who deny the Truth. 27 Should We equate those who do the right with those who spread corruption in the land? Should We make those who are morally integrated equal to those who seek disintegration? 28 (This is) a Book (the Quran) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember. 29 And We bestowed Sulaiman to Dawud; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 30 When there were displayed before him, in the afternoon, well trained horses of the highest breed [for Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause)]. 31 He said: verily I have loved the love of earthly good above the remembrance of my Lord until the sun hath disappeared behind the veil. 32 Bring them back to me' And he hacked their legs and necks (slaughtering them for Allah). 33 Surely We put Solomon to the test and cast upon his throne a mere body. Thereupon he penitently turned (to Us). 34 He said, "My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower." 35 And so We made subservient to him the wind, so that it gently sped at his behest whithersoever he willed, 36 and all the devils who built and dived for him. 37 and others that were bound with chains. 38 This is Our gift, so bestow thou or withhold, without rendering an account. 39 And he had a near place in Our presence and a fair resort. 40
