▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
