The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
True are the words of God the Almighty.
