Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
