It is He who sends down water from the sky of which you drink, and which nourishes the plants you feed your cattle, 10 [and] by virtue thereof He causes crops to grow for you, and olive trees, and date palms, and grapes, and all [other] kinds of fruit: in this, behold, there is a message indeed for people who think! 11 He has subjected to you the night, the day, the sun and the moon. The stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in that there is a sign for a nation who understands. 12 And He hath subjected for you whatsoever He hath multiplied for you on the earth of various kinds. Verily therein is a sign for a people who receive admonition. 13 It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be grateful. 14 And He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it shift with you, and [made] rivers and roads, that you may be guided, 15 And landmarks. And by the stars they are [also] guided. 16 Is then He Who creates like one that creates not? Will ye not receive admonition? 17 And if you should count the favors of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you do openly. 19 And those they invoke other than Allah create nothing, and they [themselves] are created. 20 dead, not alive; and are not aware when they shall be raised. 21
