The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 to their promise, 9 They are the inheritors. 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
