The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book 1 a guidance and glad tidings to believers, 2 who are constant in prayer and spend in charity: for it is they, they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come! 3 Verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so they wander about blindly. 4 they are the ones who will have the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 And most surely you are made to receive the Quran from the Wise, the Knowing Allah. 6 When Moses said to his people 'I observe a fire, and will bring you news of it, or I will bring you a flaming brand, that haply you shall warm yourselves.' 7 So when he reached it, it was proclaimed, “Blessed is he who is in the location of the fire (Moosa) and those who are close to it (the angels); and Purity is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation.” 8 Moses, behold, it is I, God, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 9 "Now do thou throw thy rod!" But when he saw it moving (of its own accord) as if it had been a snake, he turned back in retreat, and retraced not his steps: "O Moses!" (it was said), "Fear not: truly, in My presence, those called as messengers have no fear,- 10 "Except him who has done wrong and afterwards has changed evil for good, then surely, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 11 Now put your hand into your bosom, and it will come forth shining without any blemish. (These are two of the) nine Signs to be carried to Pharaoh and his people. They are surely a wicked people." 12 And when Our signs came as distinct proofs, they said: "This is only magic." 13 And they persisted in rejecting them wrongfully and arrogantly, while in their hearts they were convinced of their truth. Observe, then, how evil was the fate of the evil-doers. 14
