S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Sad. By the Quran, full of admonition! 1 But the unbelievers are still full of pride and hostility. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed afore them, and they cried when there was not time of fleeing. 3 So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, "This is a sorcerer telling lies! 4 “Has he made all the Gods into One God? This is really something very strange!” 5 A group of the pagans walked out of a meeting with the Prophet and told the others, "Let us walk away. Be steadfast in the worship of your gods. This man wants to dominate you. 6 We never heard of this in the former religion. It is nothing but an invention. 7 "What! has the Message been sent to him - (Of all persons) among us?"... but they are in doubt concerning My (Own) Message! Nay, they have not yet tasted My Punishment! 8 Or do they have the depositories of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower? 9 Do they own the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Let them try on their own to block (the ways of heavens so that Our revelations cannot come to you). 10 The army is defeated as (were) the confederates. 11 The folk of Noah before them denied (their messenger) and (so did the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh firmly planted, 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates. 13 Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). 14
