Nay, and by the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 a warning to humankind, 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 Of evil-doers: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
