Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
