The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 who guard their privates, 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
