The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 it is no merriment. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
