The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
