VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 and they will be told to enter there in peace and safety. 46 And We shall purge their breasts of all traces of rancour; and they shall be seated on couches facing one another as brothers. 47 No weariness shall ever touch them in this [state of bliss,] and never shall they have to forgo it. 48 ۞ Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind, 49 and that My punishment is a painful punishment. 50 Tell them about the guests of Abraham. 51 (How) when they came in unto him, and said: Peace. He said: Lo! we are afraid of you. 52 They said: Be not afraid, surely we give you the good news of a boy, possessing knowledge. 53 He said, 'What, do you give me good tidings, though old age has smitten me? Of what do you 54 They said, "We have given you the glad news for a true reason so do not despair". 55 He said: and who despondeth of the mercy of his Lord except the astray 56 Messengers, what is your task?" 57 They said: "Verily we have been sent to a guilty people 58 Except for Lot's household, all of whom we shall rescue, 59 Except his wife, of whom We had decreed that she should be of those who stay behind. 60
