The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky bursts open, 1 and obeys its Lord as it must, 2 And when the earth is stretched forth, 3 and throws out of itself all that it contains 4 And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord,- and it must needs (do so);- (then will come Home the full reality). 5 [then,] O man - thou [that] hast, verily, been toiling towards thy Sustainer in painful toil - then shalt thou meet Him! 6 Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, 7 Will have an easy reckoning, 8 and will return rejoicing to his family. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 He assumed that he does not have to return. 14 Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! 15 I swear by the glow of sunset, 16 And the night and that which it drives on, 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 you shall surely ride stage after stage. 19 But what is the matter with them that they do not believe, 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 No, the unbelievers only belie, 22 And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. 23 Therefore, give them the news of a painful punishment. 24 except the righteously striving believers, who will receive a never-ending reward. 25
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
