Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 Then do not, O Lord, put me among the sinners." 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 (O Muhammad)! Repel evil in the best manner. We are well aware of all that they say about you. 96 And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?" 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 He will say, "Be quiet and say nothing." 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 “So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!” 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 He will say: How many years did you tarry in the earth? 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 He will say: "You stayed there only a moment, if you knew. 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And say (O Muhammad SAW): "My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
