3/4 Hizb 45

Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
