Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Woe to the liars 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
