▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96
