The Column (Al-Suff)
14 verses, revealed in Medina after Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun) before Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
All that is in the heavens and earth exalt Allah. He is the Almighty, the Wise. 1 Believers, why do you say what you never do? 2 Grievously odious is it in the sight of Allah that ye say that which ye do not. 3 God loves those who fight in His way in ranks, as though they were a building well-compacted. 4 And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: "O my people! Why do you hurt me while you know certainly that I am the Messenger of Allah to you? So when they turned away (from the Path of Allah), Allah turned their hearts away (from the Right Path). And Allah guides not the people who are Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 5 And when (Prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary said: 'Children of Israel, I am sent to you by Allah to confirm the Torah that was before me, and to give news of a Messenger (Prophet Muhammad) who will come after me whose name shall be Ahmad' Yet when he came to them with clear proofs, they said: 'This is clear sorcery' 6 And who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie against Allah when he is summoned unto Al-Islam? And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. 7 They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it. 8 It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although those who associate others with Allah dislike it. 9

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
