The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
