Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
